DO WE NEED A TEA PARTY OR A BANKU CONVENTION??

Am not supposed to blog today but some issues bother me soo much i couldnt not sleep last nite, I know you will say the room was hot yes but that is not the point i want to raise,am talking about the BABY ANSABA CONFESSIONS and the ORDER OF THE VULTURE FROM THE G J A.If you have been taking notice on this BLOG i told you some time ago that the most DANGEROUS PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE THE JOURNALIST,back then you might have said i was being too harsh ,so what do you say to this BABY ANSABAGATE.?Lets drop that topic for now and let me tell you about the need for a BANKU CONVENTION IN GHANA BASED ON THE PRINCIPLES OF THE TEA PARTY IN THE UNITED STATES.The tea party in the us is a non political pressure group of normal people who think that the political system does not take their interest seriously so they have grouped themselves and discuss their interest.most of them have small businessess that have gone under because of the credit crunch and the belief is TOO BIG TO FAIL TOO SMALL TO SAVE. This is gradually gaining momentum and some party people are trying hard to steal the tea party agenda and push it into the REPUBLICAN FOLD whether they will succeed is another matter.Here in GHANA i believe that the majority of the people are not REPRESENTED even though they have voted for people to go to parliament to represent them the truth is PEOPLE GO TO PARLIAMENT TO REPRESENT THEIR STOMACHS,because how come a small nation like Ghana endowed with all the minerals in the world plus oil can not solve her TOILET ISSUES? Of course stories of toilet seizures and sewerage spillages are common in Ghana.You see in GHANA PEOPLE GO TO VOTE AND THEN GO TO SLEEP TILL THE NEXT ELECTION when they wake to realise that their aspirations have not been met then they begin to complain about the system.A decade ago i wanted to form the FLOATERS UNIT this was going to galvanise floating voters together and take the country from the POLITICIANS AND THEIR POLITRICKS. So am glad the americans have taken the cue and started the TEA PARTY this time not only in BOSTON but nationwide.We in Ghana need our BANKU CONVENTION and we need it NOWPS so PJ went to asempa alone and left kobby jones its not fair.

RETHINKING CAPITALISM

I never knew the C E O of PEPSI WORLDWIDE was a small girl, yea a small girl called NOOYI i saw her being interviewed on CNN and she is smart but before i go on i wanted to tell you the story of ASANTEWA AND EBENEZER today but due to some hanging issues i will wait till next week.I have 7 other brothers and sisters some are CAPITALIST AND SOME SOCIALIST the socialist like cynthia are very charitable they think of the community all the time, when she has money she shares with the community, the family. another of my socialist siblings is MIKE ,he is also very giving because there is blessing in giving the rest are DIE HARD CAPITALIST who wont gve you anything even if you are dying unless they will have something in return.Anytime i see the face of ex president kuffour i see capitalism,but let me tell you that when i was growing up i was a communist but age has softened me into a socialist, i remember telling EBO AFFUL my former lecturer some 20 years ago that at a point in the ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ANY COUNTRY IT IS GOOD TO DEVELOP from SOCIALISM TO CAPITALISM.The reason is that when the resources of the nation is at the disposal of everybody then the broad massess of the people develop together to a point where we can all have capital to establish our own companies or live comfortable lives.IS CAPITALISM FAILING? I will say yes because if you look at the terrible FINANCIAL MELTDOWN AND THE CASUALTIES THEN YOU WILL SEE THAT CAPITALISM NEEDS A RETHINK. From the banking collapse in iceland to the wall street in united states there is an awareness that we need to finetune certain aspect of the world financial system.WHY DID OBAMA BAIL OUT WALL STREET? If he had not the capitalist establishment in the us would have crashed like a pack of cards and BEN BERNANKE would not have done anything about it, i suspect ALLAN GREENSPAN saw this coming thats why he went on retirement honourably because you know what? he has not commented on the MELTDOWN since.strange isnt?THE OBAMA STIMULUS PLAN WILL WORK just as the it did in the 1930s during the depression but it is becoming abundantly clear that CONGRESS AND CAPITOL HILL would have to buckledown and SALVAGE THE SYSTEM.PS. The BLACK STARS LOST TO EGYPT IN THE FINAL but they did well so no hard feelings, anyway i need 2 ducks for a project who will help? drop me a line at the dot com

On certain days you might think GOD IS A GHANAIAN a case in point was last sunday during the afcon quarter final clash.Ghana had no business beating angola because they were more adventurous and had a well knit team.We only had ourselves and GOD and we won, i think in KOJO ASAMOAH we have a genuine playmaker who can win a game any day with a killer pass, it makes me wonder why he sat on the bench in kumasi when GHANA PLAYED MALI IN KUMASI?.Am still uneasy about this disease of allowing INKOOM to play as a lateral defender because i think he is not cooked enough to be in the team, but that is a topic for another day.We are playing NIGERIA TOMORROW AND THAT IS WAR!!!.The nigerians are eager for revenge because of what happened in accra in 2006, but i think it will be tough so ghanaians should pray.So the SHUFFLE came and ZEETA is still there NOT at the same ministry but at tourism because EGYA ATTA thinks she is beautiful enough to be the NEW FACE OF GHANA.The changing of RASHID PELPUO to me was inept because the guy has proven to be a lucky minister and a unifier so changing him at this time when we needed him most is DEEFT.What the heck does EKUA SENA KNOW ABOUT SPORTS? or is it a set up? THE CONSTITUTION IS NOT A VIRGIN

Am not a constitutional lawyer and i dont claim to be one but i can recollect telling a friend in 2003 that our constitution needs to be amended for several reasons.I have always suspected that those who went and wrote the constitution wrote it to suite JERRY RAWLINGS!!!. If you carefully read some of the entrenched articles you will readily conclude that it might even be appropriate to throw the whole thing overboard and draft a new one, i have never understood why MAJORITY of our ministers have to come from the parliament why.JUST GIVE ME ONE SANE REASON WHY A MAJORITY OF OUR MINISTERS SHOULD COME FROM PARLIAMENT.When kuffour came to power we thought he would readily organize a refrerendum and throw away those contentious aspects of the constitution but he didnt, because he saw he can use those same things he was against whilst in opposition to his advantage.IT IS A FACT THAT THE EXECUTIVE IS TOO STRONG thats why nobody can recollect debating the exgratia issue.But who says the constitution has not been amended before?. the constitution was RAPED IN 1997 WHEN RAWLINGS SLAPPED ARKAAH and certain laws were enacted to remove arkaah from certain strategic state functions in his capacity as the then vice pee.so who told you the constitution is still a virgin?. I think ATTA MILLS MEANS WELL because he can also keep quiet and behave like kuffour but he is not doing that he thinks we should debate the issue and then correct the bad parts. AMENDING THOSE PARTS WOULD NOT WEAKEN THE PRESIDENCY but would remove the long arm of the executive from the LEGISLATURE.I also think that certain experienced people should have been added to the commission. I shall continue next time am still mourning for the fellas in HAITI, AS FOR MICHAEL ESSIEN HE IS NOT COMMITTED TO THE BLACK STARS.

BABY ANSAHBAGATE

As a mediaman am not in the least shocked by the confessions or revelations by ATO SAM because i have known for quiet a long time that THE MOST DANGEROUS PEOPLE IN GHANA ARE THE JOURNALISTS.
It has been obvious from the mid 1990s that some media have joined the INKY FRATERNITY WITH THIER STOMACHS and this made a few of us who really joined the profession because of the CALL TO SERVE take a back seat. You could easily see from stories in both the print and electronic media that the FOURTH ESTATE WAS IN CRISIS.
I dont blame BABY ANSAHBA infact when i heard the interview live on ASEMPA i cringed in fear for him because people were going to read meanings into what he was saying and CRUCIFY him and that has been the trend since then.
We have heard of the COFFEE SHOP MAFIA AT LABONE and all kinds of things are being said about the group,but even before then was it a tight group or just a group of people just meeting on saturdays mostly to have drinks,gossip and chat. The GJA waded into the fray and since then its a war zone with missiles from PROF KARIKARI, A.B.A FUSEINI. KWEKU BAAKO,ALHAJI ETC.
Its a sad story but na who cause am? POLITICS AND POVERTY if you ask me. Because this thing grew out of our penchant for SOLI, whose father is GREED so what do we say .SHAME TO ALL GHANAIAN JOURNALISTS.
PS am sure kobby jones is not in a good mood because CHELSEA BEAT ARSENAL but its only a game.
